Reports are buzzing that Real Madrid might be eyeing Liverpool's Mohamed Salah as a possible replacement for Vinicius Junior. The Brazilian winger has been linked to a potential exit from the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium lately.
According to various sources including Football365, Real Madrid's management is seriously considering Salah as the perfect fit to step into Vinicius Junior's shoes if he decides to leave the club. Salah's contract with Liverpool runs until June 2025, and there’s been quite a bit of chatter about what lies ahead for him at Anfield.
In an interview, Salah mentioned that he hasn’t had any talks with Liverpool about extending his contract, saying, "Nobody in the club talked to me yet about contracts." This lack of clarity has only added fuel to the fire of rumors about a possible move to other clubs, including some in Saudi Arabia.
Even with all this speculation, Liverpool is still optimistic about keeping Salah. The club has reportedly started discussions about contract extensions with key players, including Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is rumored to be on the brink of joining Real Madrid. However, as of now, nothing has been set in stone.
Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has been a key player in their success, playing a major role in their Premier League and Champions League victories. Losing him would certainly be a huge blow for the Reds. As the summer transfer window approaches, the football world will be keeping a close eye on what happens with Salah's future.
