Bayern Munich has officially joined the pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen's highly coveted midfielder, Florian Wirtz. The 21-year-old has been a long-term target for Manchester City, but Bayern's supervisory board member, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has publicly declared the club's intention to sign Wirtz, according to MailOnline.
Rummenigge emphasized that Bayern's goal is to strengthen their squad by acquiring "the best player in Germany." He acknowledged that everyone at the club agrees Wirtz is the ideal player to sign, citing his exceptional skills and potential to improve the team.
