According to Punch Newspaper, renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is on the verge of joining Aston Villa on a loan deal that includes a potential permanent transfer. As part of the agreement, Villa will cover over 70% of Rashford's salary, with a £40m buy option clause included in the contract.

Rashford, an England international, is expected to undergo a medical examination today before finalizing the move. The loan deal could potentially lead to a three-and-a-half-year contract with Villa.

Meanwhile, other transfer deals are unfolding across Europe. West Ham United is making progress in negotiations to sign Brighton striker Evan Ferguson on a straight loan deal until June. Talks are ongoing, with final details yet to be agreed upon with the player's representatives.

In other news, Manchester United and Arsenal are in contact with Mathys Tel's representatives as the Bayern Munich forward considers his future. With the transfer window set to close soon, Tel still has a strong chance of leaving the German club, with United pushing for a loan move and Arsenal making another approach.

Other notable transfers include Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei's permanent move to Torino in a €15 million deal, and Nicolò Zaniolo's transfer to Fiorentina from Galatasaray. Additionally, Flamengo has approached Arsenal in an attempt to sign Jorginho, but the Gunners rejected the request. Eintracht Frankfurt has also activated a €16 million buy option for Belgian defender Arthur Theate.
