In a significant development ahead of the 2027 general elections, former Senator Shehu Sani has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Legit NG, Sani's defection was formally announced at a mega rally held at the Murtala Square in Kaduna on Saturday, February 15. Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State welcomed the former senator and other prominent politicians to the APC at the event.
In a statement posted on his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, Governor Sani expressed his delight at the defection, highlighting the APC's dominance and strength in the state.
