In a shocking turn of events, former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya fell to Nassourdine Imavov via second-round TKO in the main event of UFC Fight Night 250 in Saudi Arabia, according to Punch Newspaper. This marks Adesanya's third consecutive loss, following defeats to Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis.
Adesanya, a Nigerian-Kiwi fighter, began the bout strongly, unleashing a series of hard low kicks that threatened to disrupt Imavov's rhythm. However, the Dagestani-born Frenchman remained composed, landing a devastating shovel hook in the first round that sent Adesanya's head snapping back.
The decisive blow came early in the second round, as Imavov connected with a massive right hand that sent Adesanya crashing to the canvas. Imavov seized the opportunity, unleashing a flurry of ground strikes and a left uppercut that forced referee Marc Goddard to intervene and stop the contest.
