Manchester United's attacking woes have been a recurring theme in the 2024/25 season. Despite boasting a talented squad, the Red Devils have struggled to find consistency in front of goal. With Marcus Rashford sidelined since December, the team's reliance on Bruno Fernandes has become increasingly apparent.

In light of this, United's reported interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers' Matheus Cunha appears to be a shrewd tactical move. Cunha, 25, has already registered ten goals in 19 matches, despite Wolves' lackluster form. His impressive performance has caught the attention of several top-flight clubs, including Arsenal and Tottenham.
According to GIVEMESPORT, United are monitoring Cunha's progress ahead of a potential move. The Brazilian's availability for £45m in the summer, should Wolves suffer relegation, makes him an attractive prospect. However, United must act swiftly, as other clubs are also vying for his signature.
Cunha's stats make a compelling case for his signing. He has produced more progressive carries and passes per 90 than Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo, another reported target. Cunha's creative ability, shots on target, and dribbles completed per 90 make him an ideal fit for United's 3-4-2-1 system.
