The January transfer window is fast approaching, and Manchester United are gearing up for a busy period of wheeling and dealing. However, the club's plans have hit a snag after Inter Milan left-back Federico Dimarco rejected a move to Old Trafford.
Dimarco, 27, has been linked with a move to Manchester United, but the Italy international has snubbed the Red Devils in favor of a new long-term contract with Inter Milan. According to Tuttosport, via Goal, both Inter and Dimarco rejected United's advances, leaving the club to consider alternative options.
The news comes as Manchester United are facing a battle to keep hold of Marcus Rashford with Bayern Munich ruling themselves out of signing the England international due to his high price tag leaving only PSG as the only potential suitor.

In other news, Manchester United are keen on signing Atalanta star Ederson, who shone for the Italian side last term as they won the Europa League, according to Sky Germany. Ederson, 25, is valued between €50million-€60m (£41m-£49m), but there needs to be a full consensus at Old Trafford for the Red Devils to make a move.
